Its mid-April and our second cycle of agave are growing up slowly but surely. For this cohort, a water drip irrigation system and consistent application of a mycelium based microrganism brew allows the maguey excellent healthy growth. Some agaves will be ready for mezcalero campesinos to take back to their lands to transplant by early May, while others will have to wait for the tail end of the rainy season (July & August).
